Canon to AU
I plan on following canon up to Alpine Fields, deciding to go AU at the end of the episode.
Instead of taking off with Sydney while Derek is on the phone to Sarah, Lauren chooses to take him up on his offer and go with him to Sarah, at least for the interim. Her priority is keeping her little sister safe, and she feels that the safest place for the both of them is with the Connors.
